KnowledgeBid, Inc. ("KnowledgeBid" "we" and "us") knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy explains how KnowledgeBid, Inc. ("KnowledgeBid" "we" and "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information obtained from Deep Mosaic Network Members and from visitors to its websites, including without limitation www.knowledgebid.com and affiliated sites (each, a "Site" and collectively, the "Sites"). By visiting the Sites, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this privacy policy.
We receive and store any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of the features and services that we provide. KnowledgeBid collects personal information that you may voluntarily provide to us on the Sites, by phone, by email and otherwise, including your name, contact details, and professional and biographical information. KnowledgeBid collects additional personal information from Network Members about their participation in the Network, our interactions with them, and their interactions with our clients. KnowledgeBid may also collect information about you from third parties in the form of feeback in regards to work with clients or other information.
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we tranfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our website are visited and by how many people. The "help" portion of the toolbar on the majority of browsers will direct you on how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to command the browser to tell you when you receive a new cookie, or how to fully disable cookies. We recommend that you leave the cookies activated. You may set up your computer to reject cookies although, in that case, you may not be able to use certain features on our Site. You may also request that we make changes to your personal information so that it is accurate and kept up to date, and we may update your information using data obtained from third parties. Network Members are recommended to regularly update the biographical and employment information that they provide to KnowledgeBid.
You may choose not to provide personal information to KnowledgeBid. Network Members may opt-out of membership in the Network, whereupon we will cease contacting such persons with opportunities to participate in projects and other correspondence. We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.
We use your personal information to process and administer details of your Network Membership, to provide you with opportunities to participate in the Network, and to keep you up to date with new developments at KnowledgeBid. We also use and analyze the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business. KnowledgeBid may contact you using personal information you voluntarily provide. In particular, we may contact Network Members about specific projects or consulting opportunities.
The personal information you or third parties provide to us will be held by us in the United States and will be accessed by our staff and third parties working for us or for our subsidiaries and affiliates inside and outside the United States for the purposes set out in this policy or for other purposes approved by you. Network Members have control over what information is shared with our clients in connection with projects and consulting opportunities. Our clients are not permitted to disclose personal information about Network Members to third parties, except with permission from the respective Network Member or as required by law, regulation or legal process.
KnowledgeBid may disclose your Network Membership and background to authorized persons from your current employer, if your employer requests that information. KnowledgeBid may also disclose your Network Membership and background at the request of other third parties including, but not limited to, your former employer(s) and companies that you have provided services to or contracted with. Employers or such third parties may request that guidelines be placed on your participation in outside business activities, including consulting, arising from duties you may owe to them. You will be notified of any such requested guidelines. KnowledgeBid will abide by guidelines requested by an employer for its current employees, so long as that request is made by an authorized company representative, and KnowledgeBid shall have the right to comply with any guidelines requested by a third party. KnowledgeBid may discuss your participation or proposed participation in a KnowledgeBid project with third parties for the purpose of confirming any consents or approvals that may be required.
KnowledgeBid may disclose your Network Membership and information you provide in response to a valid order by a court or other governmental body, which seeks to compel the production of your Network Membership and information you provide, or to enforce an agreement with KnowledgeBid (i.e. General Terms or Provider Terms) or to protect our rights or as otherwise required by law or legal process or for the prevention or detection of a crime. If we sell our company or part of it or our business enters into a joint venture with another business entity, your information may be disclosed to our new business partners or owners who may then provide you with information on their products and services.
You may use the "Referral" feature to send an email to a colleague who has consented to being contacted by us in this way. The e-mail address(es) that you supply to this service will only be used to send the referral email. Your name will appear on the referral email. The referral email enables recipients to opt-out of receiving referral emails from us.
We employ security measures to protect your information both online and offline from access by unauthorized persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.
Our Sites may contain links to other web sites belonging to third parties. Please make sure when you leave our Sites that you have read that web site's privacy policy as the KnowledgeBid privacy policy applies solely to information collected at our Sites.
